Innovative people with outside of the box ideas? Fundraising for expedition…?
In summer 2011 a group of us are going away with a company called Camps International, the trip is around £3,500.00 per person without equipment included. I’m looking to raise big chunks of money, outside of the cake sale type set up, as we already have things like this running. Ideas, experiences you can share? Remember we have to make a profit so nothing that’s not going to make the money back – that’s got to be the focus.
Also, we need a template letter to send to companies, any do’s and don’ts?

I wouldn’t just send letters to companies. I think you’d do much better going and visiting small businesses in your area in person if you’re going to solicit funds.
Aside from that, one of my favorite fundraisers is a “gold drive” where you ask people to bring in their old gold jewelry and then resell it to cash for gold.
